2. Do I need a lot of different brushes and watercolor pigments?
No, you do not need a lot of brushes. You only need one or two brushes a #8 round watercolor brush (or something close to an #8). You might want a slightly smaller brush for smaller areas such as a #6, but if your larger brush holds a nice point you won’t need the smaller one.
No, you do not need a lot of pigments. You need only three, one of each primary color (red, yellow, blue). You ‘re welcome to use more if you wish, but it’s not necessary. I recommend using a limited palette of six pigments, a warm and a cool of each primaries. With these six pigments you can achieve the full range of hues.
